Wood Green is located in North London. It is reasonably close to central London and offers a good range of tube, bus and train options into town, unlike some of it’s neighboring areas. The high street can feel a little intimidating to some people, but it does have a great collection of typical high street shops such as Sainsburys, HMV, Topshop, New Look, Primark, Next, WH Smith, Boots and Argos. There is also a shopping centre called the Mall, which houses a Cineworld cinema. Wood Green doesn’t have the most extensive selection of pubs and bars for a good night out. This isn’t a huge problem though, because you can easily get a bus to Crouch End or Muswell Hill for better entertainment options, or take a short tube journey to Islington. Finding nice affordable accommodation here isn’t out of the question either. In summary, it’s an extremely functional place to live during the daytime, but you’ll probably find yourself travelling further afield in the evenings.
