Walthamstow in East London, is famous for a couple of things…. 90′s boyband East 17 and the dog racing track. Sadly the dogs ran their last race in 2008 and the latest news is that the owner of the Grade II listed racing track has obtained permission to build a 294 home and leisure complex on the site, although this will be strongly opposed by many locals including the Save the Stow campaign group.
The area of Walthamstow is quite affordable to live in, is extremely near to Waltham Forest as well as Lloyd Park for open spaces and it is a quick and easy Victoria line tube ride into Oxford Circus for those working and playing in Central London.
