To get your local business listed on this page, please email contact@moove2london.comSydenham is a large area in South-East London stretching from Lower Sydenham at one end of the high street and Upper Sydenham at the other on the borders of Dulwich, Forest Hill and Crystal Palace. Whilst the high street isn't the most attractive in London, it is an extremely functional part of town which includes two gyms next to Sydenham station and several supermarkets, one of which is an enormous Sainsburys hypermarket. There are a collection of lovely pubs in the area, notably the Dolphin and the Dulwich Wood House. There isn't an incredible amount of nightlife in Sydenham, you'd be better off heading to Crystal Palace, East Dulwich or going into Central London, all of which are easy to do thanks to the brilliant transport services in place. There are also a number of beautiful parks and open spaces in the area, events are often held at them during the summer months. The nicest accommodation is found within the Lawrie Park triangle and in lovely Victorian flats on the Crystal Palace Park Road. In summary, Sydenham is an underlooked but affordable area of town to live in with access to a great selection of local amenities. You could do a lot worse than live here.

Dulwich Woods are located near Sydenham Hill - stop at the Dulwich Wood House on your way back from walking for a much-needed drink.
Crystal Palace Park - the former home of Paxton's Crystal Palace which burned to the ground in 1936. The dinosaurs and various parts of the terraces remain. It's a beautiful and historic park.
