South London
South London encompasses no less than 48 different postcodes from the South-West to the South-East.
The area boasts some wonderful open spaces and excellent eating and drinking establishments.
Many areas of South London are considered to be more affordable than North London. This is mainly due to the lack of the Underground, particularly in the South-East (many parts of South-West London are accessible by tube). However, the former East London tube line is being extended to join part of the rebranded London Overground line – this is due to complete in 2010 which will put South-East London on the map.
In the meantime, an extremely good network of overland trains and buses can be taken advantage of.
