Plaistow and West Ham are located in the East End postcode of E13. Although it does have a reasonable amount of local facilities available, it is one of those locations that is near better places than itself. It’s a bus ride into Stratford which can provide you with every amenity imaginable. On the Jubilee line, it’s 3 stops to Canary Wharf for business, more shops and riverside bars and restaurants. If you’re a West Ham fan, then obviously the presence of Upton Park in E13 will be a big draw for you. If you’re not then it might put you off. The area lacks decent supermarkets and nightlife, but these can be found in Stratford or Canary Wharf. It’s still a reasonably affordable area and worth checking out if you’re on a budget.
