Forest Hill is located in the South-East of London on the borders of East Dulwich and Sydenham/Crystal Palace. The area has some basic high street amenities and centres around 3 roads: Dartmouth Road, London Road and Perry Vale. Forest Hill has an extremely regular train service going into London Bridge in about 15 minutes. However, the station will also be joining the London Overground route in 2010 connecting with the former East London line. One of the biggest draws to the Forest Hill area, is the wonderful Horniman Museum which has a unique collection of exhibitions exploring the cultural and natural world. Entrance is free. The museum is accompanied by some beautiful gardens.
